Cooking Quick-n-Easy Meals INACTIVE

Wish you could whip up healthy, gourmet meals in under an hour? Learn how to make nourishing, delicious meals that can be prepared quickly with basic ingredients yet are still gourmet enough to serve at a dinner party.  Recipes will include crispy fish-n-chips with homemade tartar sauce and oven-baked fries; veggie nut burgers topped with red Pepper coulis and goat cheese; classic French omelets with spinach and roasted tomatoes; broiled salmon with ginger miso sauce; creamy potato leek soup; avocado black bean salad and quinoa wraps; and caramelized bananas with soy dream or vanilla ice cream. You’ll be cooking these delicious dishes plus sampling them at the end of the class.

Course Notes: Held at the Bastyr Kenmore campus, room 8

Instructor: Julie Negrin, MS, is a certified nutritionist, cooking instructor, writer and most recently, a blogger. During her twelve years as a nutritionist and culinary expert, she has taught hundreds of adults and children how to cook. She currently teaches at PCC Natural Markets, Bastyr University and for various organizations and companies in Seattle and New York City. She has been a guest chef at Williams-Sonoma, on Sesame Street and with Al Roker on the Today Show.
